WHAT DO I DO ABOUT HAIR AND MAKEUP?
I've noticed more and more people in recent years being good at doing their own makeup and hair thanks to all of the online tutorials that exist out there. If you are not needing modeling headshots, the one thing I recommend is to do your hair and makeup in the way that you normally would when meeting your ideal client face-to-face. If you wouldn't wear big false lashes, then don't wear them for your headshots. If you wouldn't put in major hair-extensions, don't do that either, etc etc. The rule of thumb is to keep a natural look so that you don't leave your prospects wondering who's really under all of that makeup in the photo. That is something that actors should especially take into careful consideration. I can help the ladies connect with a great hair and makeup artist if you'd like professional help with this during your shoot. I can also help guys link up with a great groomer.
CAN I REVIEW MY IMAGES DURING MY SHOOT?
Of course! I shoot in digital format for this exact convenience. Click to learn more about the process I provide for your headshot session.
DO YOU SHOOT OUTDOORS OR IN A STUDIO WITH FLASH?
The most dependable space for us to shoot in is my home-based studio where I've set up the ideal conditions for you to have a comfortable, sweat-free experience and where my equipment is precisely set up to create the wonderful lighting you see in my photos. Can I shoot outdoors or any other location? Of course! With proper planning we can shoot anywhere.
WHAT BACKGROUND OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?
While neutral backgrounds are best for corporate and theatrical headshots, I am not limited to just black, grey or white. I offer a wide variety of options and moods. The color and vibe must simply meet the purpose for which you'll be using your headshots. The important thing is that I will make the background be a background and not distract from you being front and center.
